Thomas Wood
Thomas fell in love with cinema at an early age. After studying International Relations he went to complete his MFA in Filmmaking at NYU Tisch School of the Arts. Working from a young age both as a director and cinematographer, his films grounded in real life, draw authentic and intimate performances combined with captivating visuals. His work screened at the BAFTA US Short Film Awards, Palm Springs Shortfest, NYU First Run Festival and the DGA in LA among others.
His latest short film Aly, produced by Mireille, which portrays a night in the life of a young Guinean asylum seeker in Paris, won the Special Mention Award for Best Live-Action under 15 Minutes at the Palm Springs Shortfest 2021.
